Get ready for an exciting day out at the Hereford Motor Group, where a classic car event is about to get a whole lot more interesting! The event, taking place on July 11, will feature a very special guest, Fuzz Townshend, the renowned car expert from National Geographic's Car SOS.
A Unique Meet & Greet
Fuzz will be sharing his expertise and insights during a masterclass and meet & greet session. It's a rare opportunity for car enthusiasts to engage with a true master of the trade. But what makes this event even more special is its charitable cause.
Supporting Rural Mental Health
All ticket sales from the event will go towards the We Are Farming Minds charity, an initiative close to Prince William's heart. This charity provides vital support to the farming community, offering counseling and social events to promote mental well-being. It's a cause that deserves attention and support, especially in rural areas where access to mental health services can be limited.
A Day of Classic Cars & More
Visitors can expect a showcase of classic cars and vintage tractors, a true feast for the eyes and a trip down memory lane. For those wishing to display their own classic cars, a small donation is all that's needed to secure a spot.
Fuzz Townshend: A Drummer Turned Car Expert
But who is Fuzz Townshend, and how did he become a car expert? Well, Fuzz, or John Richard Keith Townshend to use his full name, started his career as a drummer. He played alongside Ranking Roger of The Beat and was a regular with local indie band Pop Will Eat Itself. Later, he joined The Wonder Stuff as their drummer from 2010 to 2014.
However, his passion for classic cars led him to found several classic car-friendly garages, eventually establishing To-Ta Classics Ltd, which later became SOS Workshop Ltd. It was at his garage that he was discovered by a TV production company, leading to his role on Car SOS and the rest, as they say, is history.
A Day of Discovery & Reflection
This event promises to be an engaging and thought-provoking experience. It's not just about the cars; it's about the stories they tell, the memories they evoke, and the people they bring together. It's a chance to support a worthy cause while enjoying a unique and entertaining day out.
So, mark your calendars for July 11, and get ready for a classic car event with a twist!
